| Abstract: | Edo State Strategic Health Development Plan (SSHDP) is a corollary of the National Strategic Health Development Plan (NSHDP) which is aimed at providing the overarching framework for health development in Nigeria. The document provides an up-to-date situation analysis of the health system in Edo State and also outlines the development policy objectives, interventions and actions to be pursued by Edo State and its Local Governments as well as other stakeholders from 2010 to 2015. Based on a multidimensional assessment of the health sector, Edo State has succinctly identified with the 8 priority and thematic areas with specific goals and strategic objectives that it believes will rapidly improve the health system of the State. |
