PREPARING A MEDIUM-TERM EXPENDITURE FRAMEWORK (MTEF)

Abstract

The objective of this toolkit is to provide States with a comprehensive and consistent set of instruments/ tools which will support the development of high-quality Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF). The MTEF document will in turn be part of the overall effort aimed at increasing fiscal transparency and accountability, which is a key result area under SFTAS. This toolkit should be used in conjunction with the following toolkit:  Preparing FSP and Annual Budget: The FSP document forms and integral part of the MTEF (along with the MTSSs)
