dc.description.sponsorshipIt is well known that programmes and projects are not effectively planned, monitored and evaluated and the importance of doing so is evident in many failed policies, projects and programmes across the world. Also, achieving results and documenting lessons can be challenging if there is no structure on which to do so. This results in resources being wasted on programmes that are not effective (results based) and are not efficient (at minimal cost). This issue brought about the need to increase capacity in all institutions; public, private and non-governmental to bridge this gap. Organisations such as the Nigerian Navy, Shippers Council, NUC and Federal Ministry of Science & Technology also sent participants to this training.en_US
