TARABA STATE STRATEGIC HEALTH DEVELOPMENT PLAN (2010-2015)

Abstract

Taraba State Government recognizes the fact that the health system ought to be strengthened, health services scaled-up and the existing gains in the health sector, sustained and expanded in order to achieve the state’s health targets, including the health-related MDGs, especially for its poorest and most vulnerable populations. These improvements can be achieved through the use of an evidence-based Framework to guide the development of a State Strategic Health Development Plan (SSHDP), with appropriate costing. The Taraba State government has initiated a number of policies and policy actions in the health sector in the last few years aimed at improving access to quality and affordable services.
