Bills and Acts
This community contains different Bills and Acts in the Nigerian Government. Bill such as the infrastructure development bill, federal roads authority bill, fiscal responsibility act etc. A bill is proposed legislation under consideration by a legislature. A bill does not become law until it is passed by the legislature and, in most cases, approved by the executive. Once a bill has been enacted into law, it is called an act of the legislature.

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
The mandate of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is derived from the 1958 Act of Parliament, as amended in 1991, 1993,1997,1998,1999 and 2007. The CBN Act of 2007 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria charges the Bank with the overall control and administration of the monetary and financial sector policies of the Federal Government. The objects of the CBN are as follows: ensure monetary and price stability; issue legal tender currency in Nigeria; maintain external reserves to safeguard the international value of the legal tender currency; promote a sound financial system in Nigeria; and act as Banker and provide economic and financial advice to the Federal Government. -

Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB)
The CCB was established in Nigeria in 1979 during the Second Republic after 13 years of military rule by the founding fathers of the first post-military constitution. The 1979 Constitution provided a list of Codes of Conduct for public officers. The military administration of Murtala /Obasanjo inaugurated a Board before handing over power to the civilian government in July 1983, which could not make appreciable impact because of the inability of the National Assembly of the second republic to pass the enabling law. Several years later in 1989, the Bureau got its legal mandate under the Babangida regime. The Code of Conduct provision has since then maintained a permanence of some sort, in the 5th schedule of all constitutions following thereafter; 1989, 1993, 1995,1999 and the current 1999 constitution (as amended). -

In 2008, the Federal Government of Nigeria established the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) under the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (establishment, etc) Act, 2005. The ICRC was established to regulate Public Private Partnership (PPP) endeavours of the Federal government aimed at addressing Nigeria’s physical infrastructure deficit which hampers economic development. -

National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA)
The NPHCDA, established in 1992, and merged with the National Programme on Immunization (NPI) in 2007, is the domestic development agency for health. Between 1986 and 1992, remarkable and innovative progress was made in the development of Primary Health Care, focusing on the Local Government Areas (LGAs), resulting in Nigeria being placed in the front rank of countries in the world that have advanced the process of equitably improving the health and quality of life of its people through primary health care. In order to capitalize on these achievements, and sustain Federal assistance to the LGAs, the National Primary Health care Development Agency was established following the recommendation of a high level WHO review team through Decree 29 of 1992. -

National Governors Association (NGA)
The National Governors Association is in partnership with the Nigeria Governor’s Forum. It was Founded in 1908, the National Governors Association is the voice of the US governors and one of the most respected public policy organizations in USA. The association’s members are the governors of the 55 states, territories and commonwealths. Members come to the association from across the political spectrum, but NGA itself is boldly nonpartisan. Because of that, governors can share best practices, speak with an informed voice on national policy and develop innovative solutions that improve citizens’ lives through state government and support the principles of federalism. NGF Agric Department
In line with the strategic agenda to promote and increase investments into the agriculture sector especially at the sub-national level, the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has revamped its agricultural unit to drive this strategy in close collaboration with state governments, development partners, Federal Government and other critical stakeholders. The NGF has designed an ‘Agriculture Development Strategy which aims to support the development of a vibrant and diversified agricultural economy at the sub-national level, which will collectively act as a powerful engine of growth and economic diversification in the states. NGF Health Department
The health team of the NGFS aligns itself with the vision and mission of the NGF. It collaborates with MDAs, development partners and other stakeholders in health to encourage the commitment of the state governors and other top state health officials to health policies using evidence-based data for engagement and advocacy. Through advocacy, peer learning activities and provision of technical assistance, the team ensures local commitment and ownership of health and development projects by the Governors and top health officials in the 36 states of the country. The team serves as an interface between stakeholders in health and the state government to promote policy implementation at the sub-national level. The IGR Dashboard was launched by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum on February 15, 2017, as one of its flagship programmes to support State governments raise domestic revenues. NGF Legal Department
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Legal Unit is one of the Units in the NGF that function in unison to make the NGF work. The Legal Unit is directly under the Director General (DG) and handles all the legal roles, including legal advisory and support at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF). It is a unit that is strategically positioned within the Organisation and one that works with all the Units and Departments in the NGF. The Nigeria Governors’ Forum Special Library is a custodian of knowledge-base resources of the NGF, State Governments, MDAs, and Development Partners. Located in a world class serene environment; the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) Special Library is an information hub that collect, stores, preserve, and disseminate knowledge resources in print and digital formats for the library patrons seeking information and knowledge on the core thematic areas of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum. The primary mission of the NGF library is to let staff, stakeholders and researchers have access to information and knowledge through physical books and electronic formats held in the library. NGF SFTAS Technical Assistance Project
The SFTAS programme is a World Bank funded Programme for Results (PforR) designed to reward States with performance-based grants to support technical assistance to States on the programme. The development objective of the States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability, and Sustainability - Program-for-Results (PforR) Project for Nigeria is to strengthen the fiscal transparency, accountability, and sustainability in the participating states. The publications in this community are toolkits and other relevant documents relating to the SFTAS project, some of these documents are confidential and have restricted access, while others are open to all for access.
