| Abstract: | The strategic vision of Sokoto state is “to reduce the morbidity and mortality rates due to communicable diseases to the barest minimum; reverse the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases; meet state and national targets on the elimination and eradication of diseases; and significantly increase the life expectancy and quality of life of residents in Sokoto state”. To achieve this, the state is committed “to develop and implement appropriate policies and programmes that will strengthen the State Health System in order to deliver effective, quality and affordable health care services." |
